R.S. Buck

Buck is an international lighting designer for theatre and dance, and a creator of interactive environments that are safe-spaces of self-discovery and play.

Their lighting designs include Antigone (2017), in Chengdu, China with Yin Mei Dance; Medea (2017), in Valencia, CA; herd (2016) in LA with BODYART Dance Theatre; After It Happened (2016) at the Ford Amphitheatre in LA with Invertigo Dance Theatre.

Their interactive work includes Me, Myself, and my Robot Self (2017), an MR disassociation of body and self; Glitter // Abyss (2018), an installation and performance series exploring trauma and survivalism. Their work The Enchanted Listening Tree (2018), an interactive, multimedia tree, will be shown at various upcoming art festivals.

Currently, Buck is the lighting designer for In[heir]itance Project, an arts organization which engages conversation by putting lived experiences in sacred texts; and for Red Dots.Black Holes, which is preparing national and international tours.
