Melanie Waingarten is an international scenic designer, architect, visual artist, performer and deviser. Her work explores the intersection of art, architecture and performance.
Recent designs ‘Confetti’ in Edinburgh Fringe Festival, ‘Peer Gynt’ by Joghnee Woo, ‘Kiss’ by Monty Cole and ‘The Spectacular Society’ by Marisa Ossato.
Also, designed ‘Red Dots Black Holes’, a physical theater piece directed by Paola Escobar that will be touring United States and Latin America.
Currently, she is presenting a show in Microtheater in Buenos Aires and
directing an adaptation on Sarah Kane’s ‘Psychosis 4.48’.
Melanie graduated from Torcuato Di Tella University in Buenos Aires with an Architecture degree and a Master Degree in Performance Design from California Institute of the Arts.
